NASA at the Fair

Aug. 21-24 only: NASA lands at the State Fair for the first time! Led by NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland – NASA’s only center in the Midwest – NASA highlights the future of space exploration and the technologies making it possible. The Evolution of the Spacesuit exhibit features five full-scale spacesuits from historic, present and future space missions, showcasing how the spacesuit has evolved to meet the demands of rigorous space exploration. Deputy Chief Flight Director and Albert Lea High School Graduate Michael Lammers is on hand to talk about NASA astronauts and space missions. Get an up-close look at a moon rock from the Apollo 15 mission, collected by astronaut James Irwin in 1971. Plus, snap selfies with EVA the Astronaut, the fan-favorite roaming mascot; test your Fact or Fiction knowledge and learn about NASA’s Artemis mission on interactive kiosks; meet Minnesotans who participated in NASA Glenn’s Engineering Institute; and so much more!

NASA at the Fair joins the Journey to Space exhibit at the North End Event Center Thursday, Aug. 21, through Sunday, Aug. 24, only!
