Guests using wheelchairs may enter by way of the elevators at the east and west ends of the Grandstand, the ramp at the west end of the Grandstand near the elevator, or the Grandstand Ramp from Carnes Avenue. If you’d like to use an elevator, we recommend the larger elevator on the west end. Accessible seating is available in the plaza and elevated mainstand sections. A limited number of bariatric chairs are available; requests should be made at time of ticket purchase. For further information, call 651-288-4427.

The Minnesota State Fair places a delay on the delivery of tickets purchased online for Grandstand show on-sales. To ensure everyone is given a fair shot, we delay the delivery of tickets so we can check for orders placed by bots or orders that did not adhere to ticket limits.
Ticket delivery delays may be different among Grandstand shows and due to artist requests. Please check your confirmation email for information regarding the timeline for tickets to be delivered or available to print at home.
Weather permitting, fireworks follow each evening’s Grandstand show. Starting times vary, but fireworks shows generally start between 10 and 11 p.m. For your safety, please remain seated during the fireworks.
Minor injuries and ailments are treated at the first aid booth (look for the red cross) located at the east end of the Grandstand Plaza level near the elevator. In the event of serious illness or injury, contact an usher for assistance.
Food, drinks, beer and artist merchandise are available for purchase within the Grandstand venue. Beer will be served until approximately one hour before the scheduled conclusion of the performance. IDs will be checked for beer sales. Coolers are not allowed.
Select Grandstand shows have general admission tickets available. General Admission is ground level and does not have chairs. If you purchase these tickets, you will be standing throughout the show.
Ticket holders may enter the seating area at the east or west end of the Grandstand. All patrons are subject to search. (Wheelchair patrons, refer to “Accessible Seating.”)
New in 2023, two brand-new general admission Party Decks are located on the east and west ends of the Grandstand venue on top of the Plaza-level concession stands. These rooftop areas are at approximately the same height as the Level 2 mainstand. They each feature a private bar (serving snacks and select beverages, including DreamDrops and Great Ape Seltzer, two specialty brews debuting at the State Fair); exclusive restrooms; general admission standing room only, no chairs; and wheelchair accessible lift. Sightlines to video screens and stage are limited and portions of the stage will be blocked from view. Admission requires purchase of a concert ticket in either the East or West Party Deck section. Guests cannot switch sides or move to another seating area within the venue after purchasing Party Deck tickets, but they can access the Plaza level for a full beverage and food menu. Smoking is not permitted on the Party Decks; designated smoking areas are on the Plaza level. Tickets for the Party Deck include concert admission, no additional concert ticket purchase required. All other Grandstand policies apply. For venue map and photos, visit the Etix Party Deck event page for each Grandstand concert. Grandstand Concert Series Info.

Etix is the ONLY authorized ticketing agent besides the Minnesota State Fair Ticket Office. If you purchase tickets from an unauthorized agent or third party in the secondary market (ticket broker, eBay, Craigslist, etc.), you risk purchasing counterfeit or invalid tickets which may result in refusal of admission. We are not able to assist with tickets purchased from an unauthorized agent, third party or on the secondary market, and no refunds will be issued.

When purchasing tickets for a Grandstand show, each person is limited to a specified number of tickets for each show. The ticket limit is posted during the purchase process online. For specific details on the ticket limit for a Grandstand show, please call the Minnesota State Fair Ticket Office at 651-288-4427.

Save your ticket for re-entry after receiving the all-clear.
Official updates will also be posted on the Updates page of the State Fair’s website.
For all ticketed Grandstand events, all children two years of age and older must have a ticket. Children under the age of two will be allowed entry without a ticket, however, they are required to sit on the lap of a ticket holder.
Will Call is located at the east Grandstand Plaza. Will Call windows open 90 minutes prior to the scheduled event and will generally remain open until the start of the headliner’s performance. Once the ticket office has closed during an event, all unclaimed tickets are taken to the gate at the main entrance of the Grandstand for the convenience of late arrivals. Will Call tickets will only be released to the person whose name appears on the Will Call envelope or whose name was provided in the sales transaction. No tickets designated for another person will be released without prior authorization. Proper photo identification is required (valid driver’s license or passport) in order to claim your tickets.
