Cash machines are available on the fairgrounds with locations just outside of Grandstand entrances and inside the venue at the east and west ends of the plaza seating area.

Delayed Ticket Delivery

The Minnesota State Fair places a delay on the delivery of tickets purchased online for Grandstand show on-sales. To ensure everyone is given a fair shot, we delay the delivery of tickets so we can check for orders placed by bots or orders that did not adhere to ticket limits.

Ticket delivery delays may be different among Grandstand shows and due to artist requests. Please check your confirmation email for information regarding the timeline for tickets to be delivered or available to print at home.

Fireworks

Weather permitting, fireworks follow each evening’s Grandstand show. Starting times vary, but fireworks shows generally start between 10 and 11 p.m. For your safety, please remain seated during the fireworks.

First Aid

Minor injuries and ailments are treated at the first aid booth (look for the red cross) located at the east end of the Grandstand Plaza level near the elevator. In the event of serious illness or injury, contact an usher for assistance.

Food, Drink and Artist Merchandise

Food, drinks, beer and artist merchandise are available for purchase within the Grandstand venue. Beer will be served until approximately one hour before the scheduled conclusion of the performance. IDs will be checked for beer sales. Coolers are not allowed.

Select Grandstand shows have general admission tickets available. General Admission is ground level and does not have chairs. If you purchase these tickets, you will be standing throughout the show.

Secondary Ticket Market

Consumer Warning – The Minnesota State Fair uses barcode scanning for Grandstand ticket admissions. As a result, fans should be careful when purchasing tickets to make certain the seller is a Minnesota State Fair licensed ticketing agent.

Etix is the ONLY authorized ticketing agent besides the Minnesota State Fair Ticket Office. If you purchase tickets from an unauthorized agent or third party in the secondary market (ticket broker, eBay, Craigslist, etc.), you risk purchasing counterfeit or invalid tickets which may result in refusal of admission. We are not able to assist with tickets purchased from an unauthorized agent, third party or on the secondary market, and no refunds will be issued.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not allowed in the Grandstand seating areas. Smoking (including the use of electronic cigarettes) is allowed on the plaza level of the east and west ends behind the white lines. Ask any usher for further direction.

Ticket Delivery Method

Based on the ticket buyer’s geographic location, Grandstand ticket delivery method options may vary. The Minnesota State Fair or the Grandstand artist reserves the right to restrict delivery methods. The print-at-home, mail or will call options may not be available at all times.

Ticket Limit

When purchasing tickets for a Grandstand show, each person is limited to a specified number of tickets for each show. The ticket limit is posted during the purchase process online. This limit can change from show to show per the artist’s request. In the event it is determined an individual exceeded the ticket limit, orders in excess of that limit will be canceled. For specific details on the ticket limit for a Grandstand show, please call the Minnesota State Fair Ticket Office at 651-288-4427.

Tickets

All patrons who are in the Grandstand must be prepared to produce a valid ticket at the request of State Fair personnel. Please retain your ticket until the conclusion of the performance.

MN sales tax is included in the price of tickets. Additional fees may apply.

Transferring Mobile Tickets

If you selected mobile ticket delivery when you purchased your tickets, your phone is your ticket. If you purchased more than one ticket, we strongly encourage you to send a ticket to each member in your party before arriving at the venue. Each person attending a Grandstand show will be required to have their own ticket in hand when entering and exiting the venue, as well as to reenter their seating area. Questions, please call the Minnesota State Fair Ticket Office at 651-288-4427.

To transfer mobile tickets:

  • Click on the ticket link you received via SMS text message from Etix.
  • For each ticket you’d like to transfer, click on the “Share” button at the top right corner of the mobile ticket screen. View example.

If you selected “Print-At-Home” when you purchased your tickets, your tickets are in your email inbox. You may print these or take a screenshot of the tickets to share to other members of your party, if you did not provide a phone number to also receive your tickets via SMS text. Each person attending a Grandstand show will be required to have their own ticket in hand when entering and exiting the venue, as well as to reenter their seating area.

Video Screens

LED screens will be utilized on both sides of the stage.

Weather

All concerts go on, rain or shine. Concert bookings do not allow for refunds or exchanges in the event of rain. If weather appears threatening, please bring jackets or ponchos. Use of umbrellas is prohibited at the Grandstand.

If a concert is delayed due to weather or any other circumstance, no refunds will be issued. If the concert is rescheduled or canceled, Etix will email ticket purchasers with further information.

If you are attending a Grandstand show when severe weather becomes imminent:

Minnesota State Fair officials have created an extensive Grandstand inclement weather plan. Patrons should listen to announcements made from the Grandstand stage, watch the large LED screens on either side of the stage for instructions.

If officials deem it necessary to relocate concert patrons from the Grandstand concert venue due to severe weather, you will be asked to proceed to the nearest exit, go all the way down the stairs and seek shelter inside the Grandstand building. Save your ticket for re-entry after receiving the all-clear.

Official updates will also be posted on the Updates page of the State Fair’s website.
