Campground General Information

The Minnesota State Fair Campground offers a unique experience of staying up close at the Great Minnesota Get-Together. Due to extremely high demand we prioritize accommodating as many campers as possible. Unlike other campgrounds, you won’t find amenities like campfire rings or recreation areas, however, step outside the gate and explore 322 acres of fair fun – endless entertainment awaits!

Spots in the campground are secured via a reservation system. A reservation must be completed and confirmed prior to arrival. No person under 18 years of age may register for or occupy a space unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pets are not allowed. Please be aware since campground space is extremely limited, reservations will be accepted as space allows.

  • 2025 Fair Dates: Aug. 21 – Sept. 1
  • Campground Open: Aug. 15 – Sept. 4

General Information

Campsite Assignment

Sites are assigned to comply with Health Department regulations. All parking of campers is done under the direction of campground personnel. A 7-foot separation must be maintained between units. We are unable to accommodate slide-out campers wider than our 14’ site dimensions allow. Misrepresentation of camper width will result in the loss of campsite. Pulling and extra vehicles will not fit on most sites, any additional vehicles will be relocated to the North Yellow Lot (formerly Camel Lot).

Services

All sites have guaranteed 20 amp service. There are three shared dump stations, temporary water hookups, restrooms, showers and coin-operated laundry. Campers must use 12/3 electrical cords between their camper and fair outlet boxes.
