Yes, you do. Everyone entering the fairgrounds must present a valid ticket of admission, including those attending Grandstand concerts. Concert tickets do not include admission to the fair.

Before the fair begins, tickets can be purchased online, via phone at 800-514-3849 or at the State Fair Ticket Office on the fairgrounds during special limited-time openings ONLY (located in the Admin Too building on Cosgrove Street). Learn more.
During the fair, tickets can be purchased online, via phone at 800-514-3849 or at the ticket booths at the east Grandstand plaza. (See a State Fair map.) Grandstand ticket booth hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The seating figuration and pricing changes from show to show, so each night has its own seating chart. Visit each artist’s page on our website to see the most accurate seating chart.
For all ticketed Grandstand events, all children two years of age and older must have a ticket. Children under the age of two will be allowed entry without a ticket, however, they are required to sit on the lap of a ticket holder.
All concerts go on, rain or shine. Concert bookings do not allow for refunds or exchanges in the event of rain. If weather appears threatening, please bring jackets or ponchos. Use of umbrellas is prohibited at the Grandstand.
Smoking is not allowed in the Grandstand seating areas. Smoking (including the use of electronic cigarettes) is allowed on the plaza level of the east and west ends behind the white lines. Ask an usher for further direction.
