What are the dates of the fair?

The Minnesota State Fair is 12 days of fun ending Labor Day. The 2026 fair runs Aug. 27-Labor Day, Sept. 7!

In 2027 visit us Aug. 26 to Sept. 6, and in 2028 visit us Aug. 24 to Sept. 4!

Can I buy admission tickets for the 2026 Minnesota State Fair?

Pre-fair discount admission tickets are on sale through Aug. 26! During the fair, tickets will be available at gates from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. (5:30 Labor Day) and online from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. (5 p.m. Labor Day). Learn more.

What are the hours of the State Fair on Labor Day?

On Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, the fair hours are from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., with admission to the fairgrounds until 6 p.m. Online ticket sales will end at 5 p.m. and in-person gate ticket sales will end at 5:30 p.m. Learn about hours around the fairgrounds on our hours page.

Where are the entrance gates to the fair?

During the fair, enter at the gates marked on the State Fair map.

During the non-fair time, the fairgrounds are open to the public for walking and biking daily from approximately 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., with the exception of closure due to some special events. Learn more about access to the fairgrounds during the non-fair time.
