The State Fair hosts a parade daily during the 12 days of the fair. The vibrant lineup makes its way around the fairgrounds at 2 p.m. each day. The Daily Parade features the high school marching band competition, floats, animals, specialty units, visiting royalty and more!
Applications to be a part of the Daily Parade are available each year in early June. The deadline to participate in the 2026 Daily Parades is Monday, July 6, 2026. To be added to the application notification list, please send your email address to parade@mnstatefair.org.
High school marching bands perform in the Minnesota State Fair Marching Band Competition during the State Fair Daily Parade. The exhibition area is located on Cosgrove Street between the northwest corner of the Administration Building and the south side of Dan Patch Avenue. Check out a State Fair map.
The Minnesota State Fair provides a Visiting Royalty Trolley for royal ambassadors from Minnesota and Western Wisconsin to ride during the daily parade. Seating on the trolley is limited, so advance reservations are required. Online reservations will open on Thursday, June 11 at noon and are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Deadline for reservations is Saturday, August 1 at 5 p.m. or when trolley schedule reaches capacity, whichever comes first.
If you’re interested in receiving an email notification about the 2026 Royalty Trolley, or if the trolley has reached capacity and you are interested in being added to the waitlist, please contact Marilyn Mangan at marilyn.mangan@mnstatefair.org or call 651-288-4398.
The 14-block parade route begins near the Haunted House, goes north on Cosgrove Street, west on Randall Avenue, and south on Underwood Street ending just south of the Haunted House. See a State Fair map for the route. Parade units are announced at the Bandshell and the east side of Baldwin Park across from the Fine Arts Center.
