This extraordinary lineup includes former members of the Original NPG, Mint Condition, The Time, Mazarati, Sounds of Blackness and the Jesse Johnson Revue – artists who helped shape the very movement being celebrated. REVELATION honors the visionaries who transformed Minneapolis’ musical heartbeat into a global phenomenon – and celebrates the enduring brilliance that continues to inspire generations.

Michael Bland was born in Minneapolis and is one of the most revered drummers in the world. He is widely regarded as one of the most technically gifted and musically versatile drummers of the modern era. His combination of raw power, precision and deep musicality has made him a go-to drummer for artists across genres. Best known as the drummer for Prince’s New Power Generation from 1989 to 1996, his career as both a touring and session drummer has included work with Mandy Moore, Clay Aiken, Backstreet Boys, Miley Cirus, George Benson, Mavis Staples, Chaka Khan, Paul Westerberg, The Chicks, David Crosby, Jonny Lang and Soul Asylum, among others. He is also the musical director of his own performing band – Urban Classic.
