Come on down to the pop-up game show that'll get you seeing your State Fair favs in a whole new light: that is, AS DANCE. Rhythmically Speaking, a Twin Cities-based professional dance company sparking vibrancy and connectedness through jazz and American social dance ideas, presents MN State Fair . . . But Make It Dance! In this cheeky yet informative interactive dance performance, professional jazz dancers will face off with one another, bringing to life favorite State Fair rivalries like Pronto Pups versus Corn Dogs and Machinery Hill versus the Mighty Midway in a movement battle for the title of 'World's-Greatest-Minnesota-State-Fair-Dance-Decipherer'! Audience may or may not be lured into 1) offering topic and movement suggestions, 2) hyping up the performers and their fellow audience members and 3) performing themselves for some state fair-themed prizes! Curious? Grab a Mini Donut Beer or Summer Lakes mocktail (or whatever bev you think is the cream of the MN State Fair libation crop) and come enjoy this performance that's one part high-art, one part sideshow, and all goofy State Fair love.
