Solar energy, energy efficiency, and energy storage are racing forward in Minnesota and MRES aims to keep that momentum going at the 2026 Eco Experience. The Race to Renewables exhibit invites visitors to experiment with hands-on demonstrations of energy-saving technologies that can help save money and the planet. New this year: celebrate the unveiling of our Eco House — a combination of comfort and style with solar-powered with battery back-up, AC-electrical, a mini-split to heat and cool, a Solatube for passive light, a solar furnace for supplemental heat, and insulated with hemp-filled walls and air-tight windows. This tiny, off grid, all-electric home on wheels is custom-built to model sustainable living at any scale!
