Crop Art Exhibit

Unique to the Minnesota State Fair, crop art originated in 1965 and has been a cherished tradition since. Each art piece is made from Minnesota-grown seeds, stems and other plant parts on supporting backgrounds with or without the use of paints and dyes. Works of art entered in this year’s competition, as well as pieces by renowned crop artists, are on display all 12 days of the fair. Each year the crop art competition garners nearly 700 entries and continues to “grow.” Stop by the Agriculture Horticulture Building to marvel at these crop-tastic creations!
