1906: More than 400 head of beef and dairy cattle were entered for competition in the Hippodrome’s inaugural year.

1909: After the day’s horse and cattle exhibitions, a nightly livestock parade was held.

1936: Open Class Dairy Cattle Show

1929: Dairymen and cattle breeders came from a dozen states, and Japan and Chile for a purebred Holstein auction.

1951 & 1979: 4-H cattle exhibitions were part of the Hippodrome opening in 1951 (top and center) and have continued through the decades.

2023: Exhibitors prepared their Holstein heifers for judging in the Open Class Dairy Cattle Show, which is still held in Warner Coliseum.

2024: Grand and reserve champions were crowned at the 4-H Beef Championship Show.
