The striking North End Event Center, built in 2019, is the centerpiece of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds’ newest reimagined neighborhood. A welcoming outdoor plaza leads into an exceptional entrance gallery framed by floor-to-ceiling natural light and exquisite wood beams overhead. The expansive exhibit hall is the perfect blank palette for your event – sophisticated, contemporary, classic, timeless – with a moveable wall divider, high-tech built-ins and other features to transform this versatile space into the ideal venue to host your guests.

Location: 1660 Murphy Ave., between Hoyt and Murphy avenues at Cooper and Cosgrove streets

Available: Year-round (except August and September)

Rental Includes:

Typically one free set-up/decorating day immediately before and one free décor/rental equipment removal day immediately following the scheduled event date (based on availability)
Free parking on the streets and in the lots surrounding the venue
Sound system, wireless microphones, podium, speakers, hookup for computer/projector
Restrooms
Meeting room
Catering prep area
Receiving area

Rental Fee: $3,500 per day

Capacity:

The large hall totals 12,123 square feet and can be divided into two smaller halls: 6,029 square feet and 6,094 square feet.
Set-Up Examples:
- Fifty 72” round tables with 500 chairs
- 1,000 chairs set up lecture-style
- Fifty 10’ x 10’ exhibit booths
Entrance Gallery: 3,786 square feet
Meeting Room: 651 square feet

Food & Beverage Options: You may select one of our approved caterers to provide food and beverage service for your event. (Catering services are subject to a 15% privilege fee.)

Additional information:

Supplemental audio/visual and staging equipment such as projectors and additional screens and sound systems may be rented for your event through one of our preferred production companies.
Wi-Fi is available for an additional fee.
Bring your own decorations to add pizzazz or work with your vendor of choice. (Sorry, we don’t allow glitter, confetti, helium balloons or taping or adhering items to the walls; other restrictions may apply.)
The State Fair currently offers rental of 8’ rectangular banquet tables, 6’ round tables, folding chairs and other event equipment. See the Event Rate Sheet on our website for details. Equipment subject to availability.
The presence of a State Fair police officer is required at all events. This charge (four-hour minimum) is the responsibility of the renting party.
All parties hosting events on the fairgrounds are required to have general public liability insurance, which may be purchased through the State Fair’s insurance carrier.
Labor, garbage removal and any other associated fees are billed to the renting party.
