50th Annual MSF Amateur Talent Contest

A variety show for all ages takes center stage at the Leinie Lodge Bandshell. A State Fair favorite for 50 years, the Amateur Talent Contest features top talent in three divisions: open, teen and preteen. One hundred twenty semifinalists, selected from acts who audition in July, compete for more than $20,000 in cash awards. Winners are chosen nightly Aug. 24 through Sept. 2 for a spot to compete in the Amateur Talent Contest Finals in the Grandstand on Sunday, Sept. 3. Don't miss this State Fair tradition!
