New Attraction: Minnesota State Fair Foundation’s 20th Anniversary

Minnesota State Fair Foundation’s 20th Anniversary

From the sidewalks beneath us to the Grandstand marquee lights above – and benches, buildings, premium awards and programs in between – the impact of the Minnesota State Fair Foundation surrounds every fair guest’s experience at the Great Minnesota Get-Together. Through the support of Friends of the Fair members, special project and program donors, volunteers and fundraising event guests, the Foundation has granted more than $16 million in high-impact priority areas since 2002.

Here is a handful of project and program highlights:

  • Agricultural Education
    • Robert A. Christensen Pavilion, CHS Miracle of Birth Center, Moo Booth, youth scholarships and more
  • Arts and Culture
    • Arts A’Fair, Joyful World Mural Park, Commemorative Art, The Sioux Chef® Presents the Indigenous Food Lab at Dan Patch Park, and the list goes on
  • Education
    • Cambria Kitchen in the Creative Activities Building, Alphabet Forest, Math On-A-Stick and Bee programming, among other projects
  • Fairgrounds Environment
    • Seating and plazas, trees, Grandstand marquee and elevator, sidewalk replacement and recycling at the fair, to name just a few
  • History and Heritage
    • Streetcar Arch restoration, History & Heritage Center, Lee & Rose Warner Coliseum, State Fair History Walking Tour and more

Please visit to learn more about the Foundation’s accomplishments, read donor stories, and join the Foundation in supporting our beloved State Fair. Or, when you come to the fair, visit us at the Friends of the Fair Tent just outside the J.V. Bailey House. We are looking forward to celebrating this anniversary with you during the Minnesota State Fair!
