State Fair Express buses operate from 17 Twin Cities locations. For automated State Fair transit information, call 612-341-4287.

$5 Round-trip for all customers

Children age four and under ride free. CASH ONLY - Please have exact change.

Buses operate 8 a.m. – midnight daily

  • Express buses drop off/pick up customers at fair Gate #20 (on the south side of Como Ave. across from the Warner Coliseum)
  • All express service is wheelchair accessible.
  • Bus departure times are approximate.

2. Brookdale Shopping Center – Brooklyn Center: Shingle Creek Pkwy. & Bass Lake Rd.

3. I-394 & Co. Rd. 73 Park & Ride – Minnetonka: SW corner of I-394 & Co. Rd. 73

4. Dunwoody School of Technology – Minneapolis: I-394 & Dunwoody Blvd.

5. Southdale Shopping Center - Edina: NE corner of lot near 66th and York Ave.

6. Bloomington - 82nd St. & 24th Ave. So.: Across from Mall of America East parking ramp

Service every half hour

7. Oakdale Center Park & Ride – Oakdale: West of I-694 on 10th St.

8. Signal Hills Shopping Center – West St. Paul: South Robert St. & Butler Ave. (near Kmart)

9. Cottage Grove Park & Ride – Cottage Grove: Along Hwy. 61 on West Point Douglas Rd. between 80th St. and Jamaica Ave.

Service every half hour: Weekends and Labor Day ONLY

10. Maple Grove Transit Station: I-94 and Hemlock Lane

11. Maplewood Mall: Beam Ave & Southlawn Dr. (at Park & Ride)

12. Foley Park & Ride: Coon Rapids Off Hwy. 610 near E. River Rd.

REGULAR BUS ROUTES

Three bus routes with frequent stops serve the fairgrounds directly and you can use cash or a transit pass to pay your fare.

Route 960
Takes you from Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis to the fairgrounds in about 15 minutes.

Route 84
Travels on Snelling Ave. between 46th St. and Rosedale.

Route 3
Travels on Como Ave. between downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul.

PARKING
AT THE FAIR

Parking in all State Fairgrounds lots is filled on a first-come basis for $11 per car ($22 for vehicles with trailers – must fit in a double parking space). Parking fees may be paid with pre-fair discount admission tickets. Limited accessible parking is available for $11 to those with valid disability placard. Gates open at 6 a.m.

MOTORCYCLES

A secured lot is available for motorcycles on Como Ave. near the International Institute. Motorcycle parking in this lot is $5; in other State Fair lots it is $11. Hours: 6 a.m. to midnight daily.

BICYCLES

People who ride a bike to the fair can park in one of three FREE bike corrals:

  • Como-Snelling Gate (#6)
  • Hoyt-Snelling Gate (#2)
  • Commonwealth-West Dan Patch (#15)
