Thanks for a record-breaking Minnesota State Fair! The information you are currently viewing is from the 2009 fair which ran Aug. 27-Sept. 7. FFAThe 2009 FFA Livestock show runs four days, from Friday, September 4, through Monday, September 7. Entries are open to Minnesota (and Wisconsin sections 1, 2, and 3 in beef and crops only) students, grades 9-12, who are regularly enrolled in an agricultural education program or are active members of a chapter of FFA that is in good standing in the state FFA association. Incoming 9th grade students are eligible to show if they are enrolled in or have completed a course in a grade 9-12 Ag-Ed program for the current year. Departments include:

BOVINE TB STATUS - Important information: We are working in conjunction with the Minnesota State Board of Animal Health, as well as the animal health regulatory bodies of the surrounding states to provide a consistent set of rules and regulations to best serve our cattle and goat exhibitors. Please note: The updated regulations also apply to animals other than cattle. For up-to-date information on Minnesota's TB status, go to the Minnesota State Board of Animal Health website (Bovine TB page) CLICK HERE. GENERAL INFORMATION AND RULES FOR ENTRY: The premium book is available annually for download in early May. Or, if you prefer to receive a copy by mail, contact the Competition Office at (651) 288-4417 and request to be placed on the FFA mailing list. Exhibitors who have entered within the past two years are already included on that list. VEHICLE ADMISSION/OVERNIGHT PARKING INFORMATION: There is space west of the barns for Livestock and Horse exhibitors to park overnight during the fair. Ben C. Hallberg Scholarship Program The Ben C. Hallberg Scholarship Program was designed to recognize the significant contributions of the State Fair Farm Boys' Camp, later Youth Camp and Mr. Ben C. Hallberg who served at every camp from 1939 until his death in 1964. Up to 20 scholarships of $1000 each will be made available to young adults from Greater Minnesota and those enrolled in an agriculture program in 2009. Please download the scholarship application for further details. Completed applications must be received on or before August 14, 2009.
