Are pets allowed on the fairgrounds?

Pets are welcome during the non-fair period provided they are confined or on a leash no longer than six feet. With the exception of service animals or animals approved as part of an exhibition, pets are not allowed on the fairgrounds during the Minnesota State Fair.

How do I get space for a concession or exhibit at the fair?

The first step in obtaining space at the Minnesota State Fair is to fill out and return a registration form to declare your interest and describe your product or service. As space becomes available, all registration forms are reviewed and sales staff contacts those applicants selected for further consideration. More information...

How do I enter the amateur talent contest?
|
|

|
Entry forms and official rules are available annually on May 1. To enter, a contestant must fill out and return the entry form along with an entry fee. Deadline for entry is mid-July. Upon receipt, contestant is mailed instructions and assigned an audition date. When the audition process is complete, results are mailed to all contestants. Those selected for the semi-final competition will receive further instructions. More information is available upon request from the entertainment department.

How do I enter the Milk Run?

Entry forms and official rules are available annually in May. To enter, a runner must fill out and return the entry form along with an entry fee. Race is limited to 1,500 runners. More information is available upon request from the entertainment department.

The 2008 Minnesota State Fair horse show schedule, premium books, entry forms and stalling forms will be available in the spring. Please check the Competition Page, click on the Department Links and select either English Horse or Western Horse to see if the information is available to download. Or, you may contact the Competition Department by e-mail (place the name of the premium book you wish to receive on the subject line) or by calling the Competition Department Office.

If you are interested in submitting a work for competition, please check the Competition Page, click on the Department Links and select Fine Arts to download the information.
