Barn Tours

What is Barn Tours™?

Barn Tours™ is an internationally known company that provides agriculture education and literacy, through an entertaining manner.

Where is Barn Tours™ located?

At a highly visible red tent located on the east side of the Poultry Barn. Open daily 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.(closes 3 p.m. on Labor Day). Tours run approximately every 30 minutes, and are FREE!

ASL interpreting is available for Barn Tours
at 3 p.m. most days of the Fair.*

How do the tours work?

"Which animal turns their head blue?"

"Oil spills, which animal cleans it?"

The answers are always farm animals, encompassing how animals play an important role of our everyday life as well as little known trivia. As the tour guide goes through the questions using a portable PA system, the audience answers them (they give hints), then the tour begins. Each species of farm animal being exhibited at the fair is highlighted during the tour.

How long do the tours last?

Tours are complete in 40-50 minutes. The length of the tour greatly depends on the amount of questions the tour participants ask. Education is their specialty, if the answer is unavailable they will do their best to find the answer and relay it to them later.

What age level enjoys the tours?

From age 3 to 90+, each tour is different, customizing the tour to the age level and prior knowledge. Tours can include families with small children and teens, young adults, educators, professionals, senior citizens, etc.
