The Alzen Family Bluegrass Band at Heritage Square

The Alzen Family performance ensemble includes both Alzen parents and four children from Roberts, Wis. who enjoy making old-time, toe-tapping music together. Interestingly, the family attributes its band beginnings to the Heritage Square stage at the Minnesota State Fair, where several years ago they were inspired by two groups playing bluegrass & gospel music. The Alzen Family Bluegrass Band is the proud winner of the Minnesota Bluegrass & Old-Time Music Association’s award in the Family Area Talent Contest (2006).
