BUTTER SCULPTURES

The following information applied to the 2017 fair. We'll update 2018 details in the spring and summer!

During the 12 days of the State Fair, Princess Kay of the Milky Way and her court have their likenesses carved into 90-pound blocks of butter, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily in the Dairy Building, R31 on the State Fair map. The princess and sculptor will answer audience questions from a 40-degree rotating cooler periodically throughout each day. Fair guests can also visit with Princess Kay and the other finalists in the dairy booth across from the sculptures occasionally throughout the day. For more information on Princess Kay and the dairy princesses of Minnesota, visit the Midwest Dairy Association website.
