MOBILE MARKETING/TOURING PROMOTIONAL EXHIBITS

Biggest bang for your buck!

The Minnesota State Fair has the largest daily attendance of any fair or festival in the nation, giving you the opportunity to reach the maximum number of people in the minimum amount of time. Not only do we have some of the lowest fees in the nation, you will also save money on hotel stays and other costs attributed to a tour—without losing the number of impressions.

Nestled between the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Great Minnesota Get-Together provides guaranteed visibility and maximum guest exposure. Your company will benefit from product or service public awareness, sampling, couponing and retail sales activities.

Mobile marketing sites range in size from 100 to 5,000 square feet and are available anywhere from one to all 12 days of the annual exposition. Exhibits participating 6-12 consecutive days may take precedence. Discounts may be available for a commitment of 12 days.

To be considered for the 2017 Minnesota State Fair, please fill out the following application and return (see contact information below). The application is brief, is non-binding, and there is no application fee. Be sure to include your supporting materials (photos, layout, products, etc.) View the mobile marketing application.

The 2017 fair will run Thursday, Aug. 24 through Monday, Labor Day, Sept. 4.

MOBILE MARKETING FEES

To be considered for the mobile marketing program, exhibits are strongly encouraged to incorporate “added value” elements for State Fair guests. These typically include one or more of the following components:

  1. Education: e.g. Past participant brought inflatable “house” with dog mascot that walked kids through and taught them how to stay safe in their homes.

  2. Entertainment: e.g. Past participant brought a semi truck that opened up into basketball courts with games and other interactive activities for guests.

  3. Sampling: e.g. Past participant brought three tents, one with an ongoing yoga class, one with a mini cooking show, and one handing out samples of the product.

These are exceptional examples of what we strive to bring to the fair. Although encouraged to do so, your exhibit will not need to be this extensive. All ideas are welcome!

Fees for each year are set after the annual Minnesota State Agricultural Society board meeting mid-January. Fees include space only. Other costs, such as daily state fair entrance tickets for staff, parking, storage, hotels, food, excessive utility usage or other items are not included in mobile marketing fees.

Fees are for sampling or showcasing one company’s product only. Additional fees will be assessed for extra products or for including tour sponsors in your exhibit.

  • Food and beverage samples must be 2 oz. or less.

  • Multiple locations, exit sampling and roaming are strictly prohibited without written permission from the Minnesota State Fair.
