Competition

The very best Minnesota has to offer in livestock, creative arts, farm products and school projects can be found at the Minnesota State Fair.

Concessions

The concessions and exhibits department is responsible for selecting concessionaires and exhibitors for the annual 12-day exposition. If you are interested in making a commercial presentation at the Minnesota State Fair can learn more about becoming a vendor.

Guest Services

The guest services department provides State Fair visitors with information and services to help make the most of each fair visit. Concerns may be directed to guestservices@mnstatefair.org. Questions may be directed to fairinfo@mnstatefair.org. This department also handles special recognition programs such as Century Farms and 50 Year Awards.

Employment

The Employment Center handles employee recruitment for full-time, seasonal, and fair-time employment positions. The Minnesota State Fair employs a full-time staff of nearly 80 people year-round, seasonal staff added in spring and summer, and fair-time staff who begin work on the opening day of the fair. The Employment Center staff will work to help you find a job that suits your skills and talents, but there is no guarantee that a position will be available for every applicant.

Submissions for the 2015 Minnesota State Fair are no longer being accepted.

To be considered for the 2016 Minnesota State Fair, please submit your promotional materials to the entertainment department after October 1, 2015.  You may send your EPK and web site links via email to: msfent@mnstatefair.org

Promotional materials may include your CD, DVD, video or audio tape, photo, references and background information. Any promotional materials submitted will be kept on file and will not be returned. Due to the high volume of submissions, you will only be contacted if more information regarding your submission is required.

Marketing and Media

The marketing and communications department handles the advertising, public relations and media inquiries for the Minnesota State Fair. The department also handles promotional events:

  • Promotional Events: Each year the fair plays host to many promotional events bringing fun and interesting activities to fair visitors and unlimited exposure to our partners. Ideas on special promotional events are always welcome. Please contact us at media@mnstatefair.org.

Midway Rides, Games and Attractions

The Minnesota State Fair operates an independent midway. If you are interested in presenting a ride, game or other similar attraction at the 2015 State Fair, please contact our events and attractions staff at (651) 288-4473.
