Daily Parade on Dan Patch
Wouldn't miss the floats and marching bands, favorite couldn't miss; the year the Royal Canadian Mounted Police marched in the parade.
The Animal Barns Before 8:00
Wouldn't miss the animals quietly lounging and couldn't miss the kids who show them are sleeping soundly nearby because they were up most of the night socializing
Chuck & Don's Pet Center
Wouldn't miss buying the domestic animals at home a selection of appropriate State Fair goodies, couldn't miss any attraction on the long walk down to that end of the Fairgrounds
The feeling you get when you walk through the Admission gate
Wouldn't miss the Minnesota State Fair! Couldn't miss the fun of being there! It's un-Fair to restrict this list to four things!

Giant Slide
You have to ride the giant slide no matter what your age. It's also a great place to rest on a bench in the shade as you watch sliders from all walks of life go down the big yellow slide. You can also enjoy some country music and a yo- yo show (Dazzeling Dave) if your there at the right time.
State Fair Museum
It's a great walk through exibit for new fair goers or veteran fair folks. It's fun to see how the grounds have changed and how the grandstand acts have come from horse racing to awesome outdoor concerts, come in and learn something new.
Creative Arts building
The heart of what the state fair is all about, canned goods, baked goods and handcrafted items from all over the state. We love to come through this building each year and look at what awesome things people can cook, back, can, sew, paint, carve, etc. Fun for all ages!
Cosater's Beer Garden
Best place to rest tired legs, grab a cold beer and watch the country kids meet the city kids as they walk into the melting pot we call the Mid Way. The best corner to people watch, get yourself an old tilt-a-whirl seat in the shade, and let life at the fair entertain you.
