  1. Little Farm Hands
    From digging in the dirt, to bringing in the harvest, to shopping the "country store"... Little Farm Hands is a must-do tradition while your children are still young!
  2. MSF Fiddle Contest
    A FANTASTIC toe-tapping time!!!
  3. all the "BIG" food
    We started taking an annual "Big Food Photo" when my daughter was one. So far we have a Rice Kristy, Pronto Papa, & an Elephant Ear! This year we're capturing the Turkey Leg :)
  4. The English Horse Show
    An entertaining way to enjoy Sweet Martha's Cookies!

  1. Walk the Midway
    Walking through the midway in the morning before all the other buildings open. It's clean, quiet and fun to hear my mom's stories about the carnival trains pulling in years ago.
  2. Great Search for Our Brick
    You would think we would remember, but it always takes us forever to find our family's brick outside the Grandstand! "I think it's over here....."
  3. Shop at the Bazaar
    We have to stroll through THE shopping hub at the fair to find all the things we just have to have!
  4. Pictures in the Arcade Photo Booths
    Find a booth that works, check out hair, squeeze into the booth and Smile! The best memories of the Fair captured in black and white. We'll miss you Jenny.

MN Fair is Better than Christmas by Tracy Rud

  1. People
    Best part of the Fair is being with the ones you love. I go with my Hubby every year. Sometimes we bring the kids. It's great to meet friends at the Corn booth. We take turns going to the many places we love.
  2. Dogs
    Hubby gets a Foot Long right away in the morning and the last thing before we leave. We get a Pronto Pup during the Parade right after going through the Fine Arts Gallery. Then visit the Four-Legged Dogs doing agility and obedience at the Pet Center.
  3. Places
    Gotta go to the Creative Activities Annex for quilts and carvings. Gotta go to Hort building for landscaping, the biggest and best veggies, orchids, breads and Christmas trees. Gotta have a malt from the "Dairy" Building (Empire Commons) while watching Princess Kay get carved in butter.
  4. Fun
    1. Giant Slide with or without the kids 2. Skyride after dark 3. Garrison Kellar singing the 2nd and 3rd verses of America the Beautiful 4. After a hot day, feeling the chill of the coming fall while watching fireworks. Love it, love everything about it! I can't wait!
