Things to See and Do at the Minnesota State Fair! by Sarah
I have been exhibiting pigs at the State Fair for seven years now, and it is one of my favorite places to be! Make sure to stop by the front of the barn to see the Oink Booth and the baby pigs!
One of my families favorite places to eat! I have spent a lot of time at the State Fair, and for the past 12 years that I have gone, I have eaten one of Donna's sandwiches every day I am there. Shaved pork tenderloin with BBQ sauce is the best! They also have pretty cheap pop compared to other places.
FFA Miracle of Birth Center
This building is one of the newer attractions of the State Fair, but also one of the best. Live animal births occour daily, and a lot happens out on the stage area, too.
Make sure you stop by and see some of the projects that 4-Her's around the state have worked so hard on! This is my last year in 4-H, but I am looking forward to future years when I can stop back and look at exhibits!
Must-See Wonders! by Sara Stambaugh
You have to stop by the arts building to see the winning pies and treats! One year a pie with fish-heads won a prize!
The people of Minnesota are a talented bunch. I am always amazed at the quilts and needlepoint that are on display!
This is a great opportunity to see chainsaw artists at their work. Take a drink and a corndog and watch as they sculpt wonders out of wood!
Whether you are into tractors or cars, antiques or Ford's newest model, this is the place to get your 'Ooh and Ahh' on!

Fresh French Fries
First stop every year - yellow stand near the MPR booth.
Sweet Martha's Cookies
We buy the frozen dough at home, but it's not the same!
Malt at the Dairy Building
Stop and pay homage to the award winning meats as well.
NOT a corn dog
Keeps me comming back every year! by Sara C. Larson
With that many people in one place you can play a game called "find two people with the same shirt." (another reason why I pick a odd shirt to wear every year)
Believe me! I can't help walking around the Sates biggest zoo. (And its next to the midway--which is another ZOO.)
lol The education building is a must! I can't tell you how many times I dig for a pencil and thank the Minnesota Board Of Medical Practices for handing it to me!
Yes, the most fun of them all! The DMV booth can look up your friends or your wrap sheet. That's how I found out my friend had a curfew violation from when he was a teen!
