My Favorite Foods by Tom
I love them the most of all. I look forward to the fair because I can get nice, fresh hot ones at few places, except the fair.
There is a stand at the fair that makes fresh fries, which taste amazing.
There is a stand that makes fresh blooming onions and serves them with ranch, so good.
These are always a great fair food and smell even better than they taste. But, they taste great too.

"About a..." Foot Long Hot Dog
Hands down the best deal at the Fair. Super tasty piled up with all the grilled onions you want and as much mustard/ketchup as you can handle. Yum, I can't wait.
Champion Root Beer
Made exclusively for the Fair since the 1920's, they serve it out of chilled wooden barrels. A nice cold refresher on those hot Fair days. It's like I'm ten all over again :)
Tiny Tim/Tom Thumb donughts
Piled high in a wax paper bag and piping hot, these sweet little juicy grease morsels were born to be with all-you-can-drink milk. Absolutely awesome!
Cheese Curds (I just had to)
Another greaser full of goodness. Fresh out of the fryer, these salty-savory bites squeak when you chew them they're that fresh. And that gush of melty cheese after you crunch down on the crispy outside is pure State Fair!

Mullet Hair Cuts
Business in the front, party in the back! 20+ years past their prime, mullets are still going strong at the Fair. Highlights score extra points!
MN State Fair Museum
An excellect snap shot of MN State Fair history. Hewey Lewis left his Nike sneakers behind after a show at the Grandstand back in the 80's. Today they're on display!
Shell's Beer Tent
Brilliantly situated between the music stage and the sparsley used,cleaner-than-expected bathrooms in Heritage Square. Sample the first batch of Oktoberfest Lager and catch some good time tunes!
Bee Exibit in the Ag-Hort Building
See live bees in action making honey. And the pretty array of amber hues in the jars lined up on display. Plus the honey sticks! Cheap (like 25 cents for two), sweet and they come in a dozen different flavors.
