SOOO much better then Pronto Pups - slather on the mustard & I'm in battered food heaven!
  2. Space Needle

  3. Cafe Caribe
Good music, cold beer, and a woderful place to relax & people-watch.

Cheap, leaves every 15 minutes, and you avoid the stress of dealing with parking. Best $5 I spend every year!

My Very Own Fave Four by Larry Ellis Reed

Category: Miscellaneous

  1. Fairchild and Fairborne
TGMnGT personified--or should I say "gopherfied"? EVERYONE who visits should run into them at least once!
  2. People- and T-shirt watching
It's free, and what's the harm in that? Especially if you're the sort that likes T-shirt messages, or wonders where everybody's been vacationing of late.
  3. The Blue Ribbon Bargain Book
I've yet to see anyone using it as hasn't saved more than the cost thereof, let alone found it real value for money.
  4. Televac Personal Analysis
It may or may not quite be "the real you," but at least it's the greatest annual State Fair souvenir known, from experience on my part.

Fave Four by Larry Ellis Reed

Category: Miscellaneous

  1. The 4-H exhibits
    Need I say more?
  2. The Peg Muffin
As served at the Peg Restaurant during breakfast--sausage, fried egg, cheese and sliced tomato on an English muffin. Messy, but satisfying.
  3. Colonial Nut Rolls
As in the trailer near the Visitors' Plaza, the epitome of nutty goodness. Three varieties, so what could go wrong?
  4. Scones from the French Meadow Bakery
    The taste explains it all.

Four "Must-Have" Fair Eats by Larry Ellis Reed

Category: Food

  1. Hamline UMC Dining Hall's ham loaf
Old school church dining hall dining at its finest--a little greasy, but served with love and affection (and a somewhat sweetish sauce on top).
  2. Sweet Martha's chocolate chip cookies
Especially when you're able to get a cup of malted milk (I prefer vanilla) to dip them in; what a treat!
  3. Gelato
Italian ice cream--and with plenty of interesting flavours to try, even in a large dish!
  4. Battered cheese curds
    Just because--need I say more?
