  1. Fried Green Tomatoes
    Dip them in ranch dressing and they're to die for! I get them more than once every fair season.
  2. Honey and Bee Culture
    Learn all about types of honey and bees in the horticulture/agriculture building. Taste and buy honey, watch a cooking show, and find the queen bee in the box of bees!
  3. Skyride
    A state fair classic, relax and people watch from above.
  4. Photo booth
    What better way to remember your state fair experience than a black and white set of photos, I get them every year and it's the best souvenir!

  1. Apple freezes
    Located in the Horticulture building, this is a real treat on a hot day. Also very affordable!
  2. Olives on a stick
    Another reasonably priced snack. I think it is the best food item on a stick! Located in the International Bazaar.
  3. Fresh squeezed lemonade
    The fresh squeezed lemonade located outside of the Food Building is the best. There is usually a coupon too, so check out the Blue Ribbon Bargain book!
  4. Cinnamon roasted nuts
    So good! Follow your nose! Located in the International Bazaar and has a coupon in the Blue Ribbon Bargain book! Yay!

  1. Sweet Martha's Cookies
    You have to go and get a bucket of the cookies. They are the very best chocolate chip cookies you will ever have.
  2. The Giant Slide
    Fun for kids and adults. I went on it when I was young, now this year I'm taking my son on it.
  3. Grand Stand
    All the awesome concert and shows. You have to see at least one in your lifetime.
  4. Animals
    Seeing as I am a mom. I have to let my son see the animals. I love how you can watch even animals being born. Though I know we won't check that out this year.

    They are soooo good!
  2. Pronto pup
    The first thing I eat every year. Breakfast on-a-stick!
  3. Kettle Corn
    A large bag every year
  4. Shaved Ice in the Bazaar
    I will go in here just to get a shaved ice. I even brave the bees for this item!
