A few of my favorite things... by Jennifer G.
Who doesn't go to the Fair with a list of food items to list? Mine includes fries, a pronto pup, a dairy building malt, fried ravioli, cheese curds, Sweet Marthas cookies, etc.
There are all kinds of people at the Fair. I love just sitting and watching what they do...
A stop at the Creative Arts Building is a must, as is the animal barns and grandstand sales!
I go to one Grandstand Event every year. This year - Brandi Carlile! YEAH
Jen's Top 4 by Jennifer Harbal
Bacon on a Stick
The best food at the fair. I know this because I think about it year-round and it's the first place I stop to get food.
Sweet Martha's Cookies and a Glass of Milk
Okay technically that would be two things but cookies and milk have to be together like peanut butter and jelly, cake and frosting. That's just how it is. I grab a big ole heaping bucket, eat a couple so they don't topple off, then head down to the Milk Stand and grab a glass of milk. (I refill it a couple of times for free.)
Corn on the Cob
Can't top this Minnesota staple. Sweet succulent and buttery with a hint of salt. That's all I need.
El Sol Burrito
Gotta have it. Can't live without it. Can't wait to eat one. Best Burrito at the fair.
CHEAP FOOD FINDS by Jennifer Harrell
Drinks with cheap refills
In the food building you can buy a soda and keep your cup all day and get refills at a reasonable price... better that getting a new drink all the time.
Buy in Bulk Peanuts and Mixed Berries
In the Coliseum they have nuts and such by the half and full pound, they keep all day and are a great snack while waiting in line for other food:)
ALL you can drink milk
for a buck.... I remember when it was 50 cents and I am only 26
Bucket of Cookies
I love you Sweet Martha. It used to be 12 for a bucket I hope it doesn't go up again this year.. if it does WHO CARES!!!! They are awesome hot... and you end up going home with some and get a re-useable bucket
