  1. Turkey Sandwich
    Delicious shredded turkey on a warm bun loaded with bbq sauce! YUMMY!
  2. Sweet Marthas and Milk
    Nothing like getting a bucket of Sweet Marthas and going to the milk stand!
  3. People Watching
    If you are at all feeling bad about yourself, just spend a few minutes people watching! :o
  4. Grandstand
    Spending hours walking through the grandstand looking at the different vendors!

  1. 4-H Building
    Must see the 4-H members' exhibits from around the state, watch the free entertainment and demonstrations done by the 4-Hers.
  2. Ye Old Mill
    Must take a boat ride with my family to relax, cool off and enjoy the quiet of the dark tunnels on this old nostalgic ride.
  3. Giant Boar
    Must see the giant boar in the swine barn and be amazed at how much it ate to grow that large.
  4. Honey Samples
    Must stop and get a free honey sample in the Horticulture building. Then pick up some honey sticks 5/$1 to take home. My kids love them!

  1. Food
    Must haves: corn on the cob, pork chop on a stick, sundae from the dairy building, Sweet Martha's Cookies, pronto pups, deep fried cheese curds.
  2. Entertainment
    Concerts at the Grandstand and the Leinie's Free Stage.
  3. Exhibits
    Seeing the exhibits in the Agriculture Building. Checking out the new RV's and cars. Going to the U of M booth.
  4. Miscellaneous
    Just walking around among the masses.

Must Do's when at Minnesota State Fair by Mark Ecklund

  1. Arrive Early
    Check out the buildings before the big crowds get there. See what you can before the afternoon crowds.
  2. Eat 10 things on a stick
    Try to find some interesting things on a stick and at least one new item that is at the fair for the first time.
  3. Enjoy the free Entertainment
    Relax take a load off, eat something on a stick, Lots of great entertainment.
  4. Fireworks
    End the day witht he big band that comes from the Grandstand each night. Thats the way to end a great day.
