Sakeena's Favorites. by Nasira
I LOVE the new red velvet funnel cake, root beer was amazing as always, and I always buy cotton candy and popcorn to stay with the classics. Oh, and Ice Cold Milk!
It looks astounding at night, I love the little houses that the kids can walk through like the "Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame". 101 Arabian Nights will always have a special place in my heart.
The horses are beautiful, and the baby pigs are adorable. Watch out though, there are "Christmas presents" that you could step in.
I am really excited for them to reveal the Grandstand Artist Line-up. Hopefully The Wanted, One Direction, Cher Lloyd, Bruno Mars, Outasight, The Ready Set, and/or Rihanna, just some suggestions though.
Russ' Family List by Russ F
Category: Family Fun
You can bring even the most picky eater in the family and guarantee that they will be pleased.
Every member of the family will find something that amazes them from a butter sculpture to the crazy rides on the midway.
Wow, the family can get out from behind the the television and wander the fairgrounds becoming a part of the show and get real exercise at the same time.
Come on and admit it, it's sort of fun to kick back while your taking a food break and see who you know in the crowd.
Rules to Live By by Carina
I don't think I need to elaborate, but I discovered cheese curds at the Fair when I came to Minneapolis for college in 1999. Still on my "must eat" list every year.
Take a Newbie
I love bringing people who have never been to the Fair before--friends, my brother, other MN transplants like me, and this year, my parents! (They're from Michigan.)
I love trying new things at the Fair - alligator, hotdish on a stick or deep fried Oreos. Haven't decided what this year's new thing will be yet....
This year, I'm going to my first Grand Stand show (Journey!), but I love watching the free shows, too (Talent Competition, high dive, skate park or a 4H musical).
