Maven's Must-Not Miss List by Ms. Demeanor Maven
Sweet Martha's Cookies!
At some point in the day (or twice, if I've got my sweet tooth on), I MUST get my cookie on! Lines don't seem to be as long at about 5:30-6pm....
Lee& Rose Warner Coliseum
Growing up a city kid, I loved going into the Coliseum to see the horse shows, both the English and the Western-- totally different, but still they show off the best of the animal & handler.
Now that it's completely remodeled and doesn't feel like a fire hazard, the International Bazaar is a GREAT place to find ethnic deals! From purses to toys, dresses to leather goods, live music and amazing cultural food choices-- the IB has it ALL!
From the Grandstand to the Leinie's Bandshell-- you MUST check out the talented musicians that give the fair it's groove! Ecclectic and amazing-- most of the stages are always packed with someone getting down with their favorite music!
Max and Sadie's Day of Food by Max and Sadie
So good! Especially with #2...
All you can drink milk
White, chocolate, or a custom mix. Fresh, cold, and a perfect marriage with cookies!
Not a dog at all, but a surprisingly yummy combo of pickle spear, cream cheese and a pastrami wrap.
Wild Rice Burger
Simply the best burger anywhere- AND it is in the coupon book!
Megan's Must Have Fair Foods by Megan
So much better than corn dogs! I always have at least one, with mustard.
Sweet Martha's Cookies
The Mouth Trap Cheese Curds
I wish they'd sell smaller sizes, because this is something I have to have each year even if no one wants to split an order.
Tom Thumb Mini Donuts
I get my mini donut fix for the entire year, and you can take the skyride there!

Son's First Time to The Fair
2000 was the first time our son visited the fair. The reason this is particularly special, was because we finalized his adoption the day prior! He was just over 3 months old when we brought him home and his first outting with his "forever family" was to the MN State Fair!
The fair is an annual event for our family. The giant slide is something I did as a child and have continued to go now with our children!
Corn Dogs and French Fries!
The fair wouldn't be the fair without the Corn Dogs and French Fries...always yummy!
We have visited the animal barns every year without fail! Our children have grown up experiencing the great exhibits the 4H groups work so hard to provide! Keep up the wonderful work and providing us with memories!
