Honey ice cream
Sooo good & refreshing on a hot day! I like it with sunflower seeds, in dish. It's delish! At the Ag-Hort building-Honey booth.
Wild rice/blueberry pancakes
I always start my Fair day off with a good breakfast at the Robbinsdale OES dining hall. A stack with butter & syrup & sausage gets me set for the Fair.
fresh baked cinnamon rolls & Farmers coffee
Follow your nose to Cinnie Smiths. Watch 'em being made, baked & then enjoy! Warm cinnamon rolls right out of the oven. I can't eat just one. Paired with Farmers Union coffee. Mmmmm so good !
That first crunch of a Paula Red means it's State Fair time. A little tart, a little sweet. My perfect healthy snack. At the Apple counter in the Ag-Hort building.

Gotta start my Fair visit with one of these EVERY year. Down by the horse barns. Yummy hard boiled egg wrapped in sausage and breadcrumbs then deep fried and put on a stick.
By the entrance to the midway, pastrami and cream cheese wrapped around a crunchy pickle. Very refreshing!

No trip to the State Fair is complete for me without at least a visit to the horse barn--this just makes me happy. The shows and judging are pluses.
Wonders of Technology
Something new and different every year here.
It's just neat to see all of the things people come up with in the different categories the fair has in this building. I especially enjoy looking at the philately exhibit each year.
Food and Drink
I have to make sure to consume a foot-long hot dog with mustard and onions, an order of cheese curds, an order of fresh-cut french fries, and at least two cups of honey lemonade from the stand in Ag-Hort before I leave. Other things are optional, but I've been known to hit up Peter's chili dog stand and the OES Dining Hall on occasion, especially when I used to work at the fair.
