    The first thing to eat when we come in. Over 30 years.

    State Fair tradition from the beginning.

    Not elaborate but, once again every year.

"Heathly" Fried Food! by Maria

  1. Veggie Fries
    These nutritious, good-for-you veggies are lightly battered and deep fried. My state fair favorite! Dip them in ranch dressing for an extra treat!
  2. Roasted Corn
    Slathered in butter and charred to perfection!
  3. Carmel Apples
    An apple a day keeps the doctor away...unless it's covered in gooey, sticky, sweet goodness.
  4. Walleye on a Stick
    We all know that the favorite MN fish is good for you, even on a stick. The delicious, crunchy batter, though, may be another story. :)

Four Must Visit by Lynn Gustafson

  1. Grandstand
    You never know what new vendors may show up in any year, and there are old favorites to visit.
  2. Heritage Square
    Great food to go with the shopping.
  3. Coliseum
    Sorry I still want to call it the Hippodrome
  4. International Bazzare
    I still call it Mexican village, even though it is so much more with all the different vendors.
