Bacon on a Stick
The best food at the fair. I know this because I think about it year-round and it's the first place I stop to get food.
Sweet Martha's Cookies and a Glass of Milk
Okay technically that would be two things but cookies and milk have to be together like peanut butter and jelly, cake and frosting. That's just how it is. I grab a big ole heaping bucket, eat a couple so they don't topple off, then head down to the Milk Stand and grab a glass of milk. (I refill it a couple of times for free.)
Corn on the Cob
Can't top this Minnesota staple. Sweet succulent and buttery with a hint of salt. That's all I need.
El Sol Burrito
Gotta have it. Can't live without it. Can't wait to eat one. Best Burrito at the fair.
Must Dos by Linda Anderson
Category:Attractions & Exhibits
Must see the 4-H members' exhibits from around the state, watch the free entertainment and demonstrations done by the 4-Hers.
Ye Old Mill
Must take a boat ride with my family to relax, cool off and enjoy the quiet of the dark tunnels on this old nostalgic ride.
Must see the giant boar in the swine barn and be amazed at how much it ate to grow that large.
Must stop and get a free honey sample in the Horticulture building. Then pick up some honey sticks 5/$1 to take home. My kids love them!
Monique's List by Monique Navarrette
It has to be the stand outside the Food Building. Its fried dough with powder suger. The food that can not be shared. It is that good.
From Del Sol. The best tacos at the Fair!
From the Food Building. Fish on a stick, what more can I say.
A tradition! Get a great spot by judging, get something from the food building, and people watch before the parade. I love the Bull at the end and always wave to the street cleaner.
Fabulous Fair Four by Amber Rasmusson
Head to the Mouse Hole inside of the Cub Foods building and pay for your ticket to curd paradise. It gets a little warm in the building - but it's worth it! The line usually goes quicker than the outside line.
Head to the MN Turkey Growers and grab the best turkey sandwich of YOUR LIFE! They deep fry their turkeys, slap them on a white bun and let you have your way with their BBQ sauce on the counter. You'll be a fair addict for life once you try these! Located East side of Clough between Judson and Carnes
Gyros! Gyros! GYROS!
Located inside of the Bazaar, on the South Wall. Head to Holy Land Deli and ask for a gyro with everything on it. These, believe it or not, compliment any beer you'll find inside the Bazaar, and it compliments them well!
Beer on a Stick
Brought to you by your favorite local brewers at Summit Brewery. Located directly inside and to the right of the Bazaar entrance. There are three smaller taps snugly fit into their own homes on a stick that you can carry around and enjoy. The sticks sold out quickly last year so get there early and enjoy! Responsibly of course.
