Bacon on a Stick
The best food at the fair. I know this because I think about it year-round and it's the first place I stop to get food.
Sweet Martha's Cookies and a Glass of Milk
Okay technically that would be two things but cookies and milk have to be together like peanut butter and jelly, cake and frosting. That's just how it is. I grab a big ole heaping bucket, eat a couple so they don't topple off, then head down to the Milk Stand and grab a glass of milk. (I refill it a couple of times for free.)
Corn on the Cob
Can't top this Minnesota staple. Sweet succulent and buttery with a hint of salt. That's all I need.
El Sol Burrito
Gotta have it. Can't live without it. Can't wait to eat one. Best Burrito at the fair.
Must have eats, in this order! by Amanda S.
Many people are scared of this tasty treat, but fear not, it is the best way to start your food day at the fair. It's a hard boiled egg, covered in sausage and some bread crumbs then deep fried of course! Skip the ketchup and go for the horseradish cream sauce, divine! I think they're located near the bunny barn.
Get the best french fries of your life after you've toured the barns and worked up (somewhat) of an appetite. They're near that big scary sling shot ride in the midway, and oh so delicious. Walk with them over to the DNR area and enjoy!
Strawberry Shake-fresh from the cows
It's time for sweet treat my friend, now head over to the dairy building, and don't be deterred by the line snaking around the building. Just jump in and get some people watching in, and "hey look at that, real-life butter-heads!"
Head to the food building, and again don't be overwhelmed by the line, they always go fast! Prepare yourself for some fried-salty-goodness, pray they have some ketchup left, and enjoy.
The Great Minnesota Get-Together :) by Taylor
The best thing at the fair! The best ones are in the food building.
Who doesn't love spam, especially deep fried and dipped in ranch!
Amazzzzing ice cream. Me and my sister usually go back more than once each year. Plus they’e right next to ye old mill so it’s family tradition to go for a ride on the mill and then get some dippin' dots!
Yes, just a plain old carmel apple on a stick. The same ones you can get at any cheap carnival throughout the summer. Buuut they some how taste sooo much better at the state fair :)

Greeting all customers with a smile and the coldest beer on the fair grounds. Don't forget to fresh cooked-to-order burger with fried onions - yummy!
Check out the walleye cakes and dipping sauce - delicious
MALTS, need I say more?
Try them all - but my favorite is Nutella/Banana
