Creative Activities Building
Creative Activities contains the best of the state fair. Woodworking, quilting, furniture-making, miniatures, needle-point, baking. Should I continue? Or should I just remind you of the sock monkey dress? I think my work here is done.
Home of the best deal at the fair - the cider freeze. The Ag/Hort building also houses floral and garden displays, and the always surprising seed art exhibit. Who will be the unlucky political target this year?
The Dairy Building f/k/a Empire Commons
I mean, the butter heads, yes. But the soft-serve twist cone is the real star of the show here.
From raptor shows to the fish tank, this one is a real gem. The miniature prairie diorama is a highlight.

Northern Tool & Equipment
Every time I come to the MN State Fair I stop in here. Where else can you get retractable dog leashes for around $5. Not to mention all the cool tools for dad (or mom).
I don't have a sprinkler system at home so this gives a lot of options for lawn care
