Food & Beverages
How can you go wrong with tons of deep fried options, food on a stick, Tall lemonade for a low price, BEER, all you can drink milk, new items every year, things made out of honey, etc. etc. etc. I can go on and on just about the food but there is also... -
Rides
On the train it says "World's Largest Midway" I don't know if that is true but you gotta love your entertainment options. Kidway too. There are even Kidway rides I like to go on. I hope my God Daughter is in town so I can partake in those rides. Next is... -
Music & Entertainment
They always get great entertainers for the Grandstand. The free shows are awesome too. Tonic Sol Fa, The MCC Gospel Choir, Boogie Wonderland, etc. I saw Mint Condition a few years ago and it was awesome. I also heard that Boyz II Men are putting on a free show. I'll have to check on that before I leave the web site, And finally there is... -
The Overall Atmosphere
Minnesotans usually have this in common. A love for the Minnesota State fair. There's something for everyone. It's a great place to meet with family & friends. You have the Fine Arts Building, The Pet Center, the vendors, the free stages, the Bazaar, Heritage Square, the Midway & Kidway, the local television stations and radio stations, etc. It's no wonder the Saints are so fun. The stadium is so close to the fairgrounds it just rubs off. And I love the new things every year. The fair never gets boring. This year will be my 27th consecutive year going to the fair. I hope my streak continues into my 80's, 90's, even 100's. That's what the Fair means to be. It is my all time favorite place to be in the entire world. It was one of my grandpa's too and his name is forever at the fairgrounds. There are things that didn't make this list but are still why I love the fair. The history for example. It's just really amazing. Thanks for letting me share. I love talking about it.

4-H Dairy
Cows are basically the best animals on the planet, and if you ask a 4-Her nicely, you can probably even pet one! This is also #1 because I'll be bringing my heifer up to State this year, so come see me! (and you might even get to pet her ;] ) -
A Bucket of Sweet Martha's with All You Can Drink Milk
It's the perfect combination, and it's totally worth the wait! You'll need that milk and some friends to finish off all those cookies. -
International Bazaar
Theres something for everyone here! You could go to Ireland, China, and Mexico all in 45 minutes. -
Honey Ice Cream
Where else would you get honey ice cream? There's also plenty of benches to sit and eat, or you can walk around and see all the cool stuff in the Horticulture building.
