Josie's Favorites by Josie Flanders
Frozen Chocolate Covered Banana
First thing on my list. Last thing we eat before heading home.
Tried these last year. Haven't stopped thinking about them yet. Peach Glazed Pig Cheeks aren't bad either!
Hot, bits of delicious fried dough. Chased down with some 1919 root beer.
not from the ultra-busy "yellow" stand though. When these are fresh and hot, ooh, yummy!
Unforgettable Memories by Debbie B.
Home Depot Workshop
Every year my daughter and I enjoy building a project together. (butterfly house, airplane, boat...)
A classic since I was a kid. Now I take my daughter, and love hearing hear "squeal" as she passes by the microphones.
Miracle of Birth
We enjoy seeing the cute baby animals being born, taking their first "wobbley" steps and nursing from their mothers.
Little Farm Hands
Great fun watching my daughter planting the seeds, milking the cows, and driving tractor...
Favorite four foods of the Fair by Pat Masanz-Zappetillo
Foot Long Hot Dogs
Always the first food of the day. My dad started the tradition and we have continued it whenever we come up for a fair visit. We now live in Indiana, and school starts here middle of August, but we made it up last year and had our traditional Foot Long.
Tom Thumb Donuts
Can't leave the fair without having had a couple of bags.
What else is there to say? The Fair is not the Fair without eating a Pronto Pup
Sweet Martha's Cookies
Time for a bucket of cookies after a long day at the Fair.
MN Fair is Better than Christmas by Tracy Rud

Best part of the Fair is being with the ones you love. I go with my Hubby every year. Sometimes we bring the kids. It's great to meet friends at the Corn booth. We take turns going to the many places we love.
Hubby gets a Foot Long right away in the morning and the last thing before we leave. We get a Pronto Pup during the Parade right after going through the Fine Arts Gallery. Then visit the Four-Legged Dogs doing agility and obedience at the Pet Center.
Gotta go to the Creative Activities Annex for quilts and carvings. Gotta go to Hort building for landscaping, the biggest and best veggies, orchids, breads and Christmas trees. Gotta have a malt from the "Dairy" Building (Empire Commons) while watching Princess Kay get carved in butter.
1. Giant Slide with or without the kids 2. Skyride after dark 3. Garrison Kellar singing the 2nd and 3rd verses of America the Beautiful 4. After a hot day, feeling the chill of the coming fall while watching fireworks. Love it, love everything about it! I can't wait!
