Scone w/ fresh fruit and creme topping
Four three years running this has been my first stop on day one of the Fair. What a guilt-free start to eating at the Fair!
100% real fruit strawberry smoothies
This Strawberry smoothie is the best thing you could have on a picky stomach after a full day eating junkie Fair food!! Located across from the Pet Center.
Corn on the Cob
Delectable, delectable, delectable! This with the pork chop on a stick alone, makes the Fair worth attending. :) Enough said!
Yum, yum, yummy! If you're a cinnamon roll fan for breakfast make this your first stop of the day! This is always day two breakfast for me. Located across from the Pet Center.
It's a TRADITION! by DeDe
Do you remember seeing a woman and two teenagers laughing hysterically outside the coliseum several years ago? Husbands should remember to wear belts before holding out their hands for samples. I'm not sure who was more surprised-the vendor, the husband or the family!! It still brings LOTS of laughs!
Another helpful tip-Either bring a backpack or another method of holding on to all your valuables. Moms that try and minimize their belongings are lucky that the midway workers are so honest and will retrieve their wallets and money when they drop out onto the seats.
You walk a lot at the fair
My son's girlfriend found out how serious we take the fair the first year she went with us. Comfortable shoes, a lot of stamina and knowing that you'll be looking at the back side of the mom for most of the day if you don't pick it up and move. This fair thing is once a year-we've got a lot to see!!!
It's a family tradition
From the double stroller with 3 kids in it to everyone bringing a significant other, this has been a tradition for almost 20 years and we've doubled the people we bring.
A few of my favorite things... by Jennifer G.
Who doesn't go to the Fair with a list of food items to list? Mine includes fries, a pronto pup, a dairy building malt, fried ravioli, cheese curds, Sweet Marthas cookies, etc.
There are all kinds of people at the Fair. I love just sitting and watching what they do...
A stop at the Creative Arts Building is a must, as is the animal barns and grandstand sales!
I go to one Grandstand Event every year. This year - Brandi Carlile! YEAH
