Little Farm Hands
Kids LOVE this exhibit! This agricultural education exhibit is a mock up farm for kids. Children (ages 3-10) become farm hands at this free, hands-on exhibit as they are provided the opportunity to experience the agricultural process, beginning at the farm and ending at the market. Kids help with farm chores, collect goods to sell at the farmers market, and then spend their earnings on real products made from the farm at the grocery store.
Home Depot Kids Workshop
The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.
Fine Arts Building
Art from classical to strange. This annual art exhibition is a result of a juried competition. Participation is open to all living residents of Minnesota, and each may submit one work for consideration.
See the amazing works of art in the Crop Art Gallery of the Ag-Hort-Bee building. Crop art involves the use of seeds instead of paints to create a work of art.
Best Music, Best Coffee, and misc fun by Brandy
the Farmers Union has the best coffee and by far the best music! Our favorite band is Trio Tipo! they are by far the best music at the fair. They are playing all day long (8/26,27 & 28 and next week 8/31 and Sept 2 at the Farmers Union. Go check them out and they have CD's on a stick. We bought several last year (two for $15!) and the CD's were 'delicious'. We look forward to their new one. ENJOY!
