Crankshaft and the Gear Grinders is lead by Alex "Crankshaft" Larson and has been around since 2008. Their sound is rooted in rock 'n' roll, blues, swing and country. Cities 97 says of the group, "one of the best and most interesting roots, rock and blues acts playing around town these days."
