This schedule outlines where and when animals will be on the fairgrounds throughout the 12 days of the fair. The types of animals to see change throughout the 12 days of the fair, so be sure to check dates and times carefully.
Thursday, Aug. 21 – Sunday, Aug. 24: The first four days of judging at the fair include 4-H livestock (cattle, sheep, swine, goats, poultry and rabbits) and open class pigeons, rabbits and sheep.
Note: All barns, except the Horse Barn and CHS Miracle of Birth Center close early on Sunday, Aug. 24 for Livestock Arrival & Departure.
Monday, Aug. 25 – Thursday, Aug. 28: The middle four days of the fair judging of open class dairy cattle, sheep, swine, Boer goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys and geese takes place. The Signature Horse Show, including new breeds such as Appaloosas and Pintos, will be here.
Stock Dog Trials are held in the Coliseum on Monday, Aug. 25 at 8 a.m.
The Llamas are here from Wednesday, Aug. 27 to Friday, Aug. 29; they depart at 2 p.m. on Friday.
Note: All barns, except the Horse Barn & the Poultry Barn and CHS Miracle of Birth Center, close early on Thursday for Livestock Arrival & Departure.
Friday, Aug. 29 – Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1: The last four days of the fair consist of judging of FFA livestock (cattle, sheep, swine) and open class goats, beef cattle, and some poultry. Friday is the end of the Signature Horse Show. The Supreme Champions will be crowned on Saturday and then the games begin with WSCA classes starting on Sunday and Monday!
Note: All barns close at 5 p.m. on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1.
