The Creative Activities Department of the Minnesota State Fair presents an annual exhibition of the finest needlework, handcrafts, baking and canning that Minnesota has to offer. Participation is limited to Minnesota residents. In 2016, more than 2,200 participants exhibited more than 8,000 items (more than 3,000 in baking and special contests alone).
The Creative Activities premium book is available annually online the first Monday in May. For the most detailed information about delivery times, return of exhibit times, premiums, requirements and more, view the premium book.
